I try to understand problems deeply before attempting to solve them. The people involved, the systems around them and the constraints that define them.

This way of working naturally leads to thinking in systems - how information flows, how parts of a product connect and how the whole thing holds together.

About
Music

Music has played a defining role in my life.

What started with making hip-hop beats eventually grew into producing electronic music, DJing and a deep interest in the tools musicians use to create.

This curiosity ultimately shaped my professional path. I was fortunate to contribute to products such as MASCHINE and KOMPLETE KONTROL at Native Instruments. Today I work at Melodics, helping to make learning a musical instrument fun.

These days music remains a personal outlet. I still occasionally produce or play records (mostly 90s-influenced underground house), but it has become something I do purely for the joy of it.

About
Life

Life outside of work revolves around my family.

My wife Megan and I have three children, which means our house is rarely quiet. Over the years we’ve lived in Berlin, the south of Portugal and now Aotearoa (New Zealand) - with one child arriving in each place along the way.

Curiosity is a constant for me. I enjoy exploring new tools and technologies and often end up building small ideas and experiments along the way.

If you want say hello, please do so here. Looking forward.
